Yay!

Having accidentally locked myself out of my blog (don't ask) I have FINALLY managed to reactivate it.  Phew! Not easy when Google sends you round in ever decreasing circles without letting you reset the password.  Soooo my friends, watch this space because lots has been happening in the silence.

The Wapping Project Bankside

.

Collaborating with Comme des Garcons and Yohji Yamamoto, Roversi is one of the most esteemed fashion photographers to this day.

His images are both breath-taking and bewildering. Capturing the most beautiful women amongst a grey backdrop, the images really have a French feel which perhaps is not the intention, but what attracts us to them.

It is Roversi's first solo exhibition at The Wapping Project Bankside, and it is able to be viewed until the 31st March.

.

The Opening Reception was held on the night of the 2nd.
The crowd attractive, the champagne aplenty - the afternoon was a positive and successful start to an important show.

The Wapping Project Bankside is a gallery focusing on lens–based media founded by the Director of The
Wapping Project, Jules Wright.

25 Years of Spot Paintings 1986 - 2011

.

A few weeks ago now, saw the worldwide release of Damien Hirst's 25 Years of Spot Paintings. The worldwide release was simultaneously timed, and saw us venturing to Hirst's Other Criteria Gallery in Mayfair.

The Complete Spot Paintings 1986–2011 – Damien Hirst
The exhibition will take place at once across all of Gagosian Gallery’s eleven locations in New York, London, Paris, Los Angeles, Rome, Athens, Geneva, and Hong Kong, opening worldwide on January 12, 2012. Most of the paintings are being lent by private individuals and public institutions, more than 150 different lenders from twenty countries. Conceived as a single exhibition in multiple locations, “The Complete Spot Paintings 1986–2011” makes use of this demographic fact to determine the content of each exhibition according to locality.
