CELEBRATE
11/24/2010
AN 8x8 LAYOUT

Isn't beautiful?
You know I do not make too many layouts ;)
On another note I have to say this: It is always hard for me to stick to a sketch. I know I did not have too but I wanted to follow the sketch as much as I could. This part is always a challenge for me. I tend to change things around, :) BUT, you can see I really tried and pretty much followed the sketch, yay!

Three buttons above

 New butterfly location from sketch

Added a little cupcake for the Celebration attached with an
Action Wobble.
(click on the link to learn more about them)

Aren't they fun! I am in love with them.
They will be a MUST HAVE in my stash of have to have supplies. That is for sure :)
 The Lace.

 The embossing and the inking
(I painted the centers of the lace flowers and I used ink to doodle the faux stitches:
double duty here, lol)
Here you can see the whole completed project again with everything I needed to pick-up/add from the blog hop to make the recipe challenge a success.

 Nilda at http://thecuttlebugspot.blogspot.com/

will be randomly selecting a winner for some giveaway, YAY!!!
AND...please,...have fun hopping and getting some new ideas from these blogs above and don't forget to let me know what you think of my layout........

This was a very nice project to work with.

Thanks to Nilda for giving me the opportunity to participate in this blog hop.

and Thanks to you for stopping by, for your support and for your love.

Hugs!

GOING PLACES LAYOUT

AND....
this is my haul from Michael's and ACM yesterday on my

ROAD TRIP
I made this layout for a Cricut Circle challenge.
I did not win but I am very proud of my layout. I need more practice with them especially with the 12 x 12's. I am an 8 x 8 or 8.5" x 11 inches layout lady, :)

Isn't the background paper beautiful?
It is a street map patterned paper and the one behind a map patterned paper. I adhered the lace with my glue gun, the ribbon is from American Crafts, the butterflies from punches and the title from the Going Places cricut cartidge.

Thanks for your comments!

I have been feeling empty nested lately and your comments always make my day and lift me up.

HOO'S HAVING A BIRTHDAY

Hello everyone!!!
This summer has been so hot we neglected a lot of yard work because we did not want to deal with the weather. Yesterday, I went around the house checking the grass and plants and our yard is a disaster. Hopefully, the weather gets better as we move into autumn and we can start getting things in order.
Later on I was looking at some photos for my son's marching band book and I saying to myself it is a shame I do not scrapbook more often. So I got all enthusiastic for a moment and made this layout. :)

Hoo's Having a Birthday
12 by 12 inch layout
using the
Hoot 'N Holler Lite
Cricut Cartridge

The base cardstock is The Green Stack from DCWV and the rest is from American Crafts.
The phrase was cut at 5.14" H x 8.96" W  and the party hat was tweaked a bit with the Gypsy. Finally, I decided to cut it at 3.5" high and 1.95" wide. I used the white pen for the doodling, some stickles, popped-up the hat and added a K&CO border to the photo mat.
Having such a beautiful paper as the base it was not much more I needed to do.
I hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
Hugs!

AUTUMN LAYOUT/PRE-MADE PAGE/WALL ART

I am planning to frame it and hang it on the wall.
(You can always click on the photos for a larger view)

I took two 8-1/2" x 11" DCWV purple textured cardstock and glue them together. The designer paper I believe is from MME. The scarecrow, pumpkin, journaling mat and flourishes are from M's Recollection brand. The oak leaves are punched from a Marvy Uchida small punch and some are popped with foam dots and the blue ones are flocked too as well as the band on the scarecrow which I also added a blue rhinestone. Oh God, I needed to take a breath there, lol. The Autumn word is from one of my Cricut cartridges but I do not remember if I welded it or I cut it like that ( I had in in a drawer for a while, sorry).
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like it.

ETA: The designer paper is from Prima: The First Blush Collection, not from MME like I first thought.

THANKSGIVING SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT

The pilgrims, Family Time, Thanksgiving, Hats are cut with A Child's Year cricut cartridge.

The "E" from Family Time is a bit messed up since I was using the Cricut Design Studio and it does not allow me to control the speed. Otherwise, I think it is a nice layout especially because I have not scrapbooked for a while, lol. The rest of the embellishments are commercial. I am very sorry about the glare on the scarecrow.
