New Designers 2010

I am off to the Design Centre in London today to see the best of British design talent - Part One features textile designs for fashion and interiors, accessories and gift ware. Don't miss it if you are interested in innovative and creative design. In particular look out the the Class of 2010 BA Graduate show from Northbrook College ! Congratuations to all the Northbrook graduates and very well done for the stunning work on show. Sounders vs. P*rtscum highlights

i love this rivalry. i drove down yesterday afternoon. met mike at his house and rode bikes through portland to meet his wife, make a stop by voodoo donuts and then to the game. sounders win. overtime, Pks, and the win. so much fun.

Magical by day, enchanting by moonlight

The view from the cottage weas ever changing in daylight with the ebb and flow of the tide, but by moonlight it was absolutely magical.

WHAT ABOUT A CARD SWAP?

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

I never hosted a swap before but I am aware of what they call "flakers" lol.

I am thinking my first swap should be cards because 

that is what my blog is mainly about right now. 

I would like a theme for this swap too... 

Any ideas???

If you are interested I am looking to start this first swap with a max of 20 swappers. This way it will be easy to manage. 

I will start with the first 20 followers to sign up. 

REQUIREMENTS:

You must be a follower and you must have a blog. 

You must post the card you receive on your blog with a link to the person whom you received the card from.

I will be the hostess and all cards have to be sent to me and then I will distribute them and I will pay for this postage. You will have to pay to send them to me tough, fair?

I won't participate but I will send you all a handmade Thank You Card since I have no sponsors but my empty pockets, lol. 

I will also take pics of them, post them individually on my blog and I will add a link to your blog.

This is for fun, no stress about it... but please...make a nice card that the recipient will be very happy with. 

This detail will make this swap a success or a failure.

You will have 2 weeks from the day we start to send them to me and I will have a week to send them to you. Does it sounds good?

Beautiful North Wales

Just got back from a week or so in beautiful North Wales. Stayed in an amazing cottage near Porthmadog overlooking this fabulous view. Really inspirational trip - have gathered lots of material for future design ideas. AND it didn't even rain for the whole trip - something of a novelty when I go on holiday and especially in Wales!

Tickle Pink Fashionista Lil Lolitas Preview Day 4!

Ready for a new Lil Lolita? It's preview day 4 at Tickled Pink Stamps. Meet Flower Child 60's Willow. Isn't she BEAUTIFUL? So full of peace and love! I created a mini Woodstock for Willow using a spring card fold. I added a cloud mat cut with my MS punch around the page. I designed the Peace sign in Cricut Design Studio and cut and popped it twice after embossing the top one with my Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

Willow is colored with Copics and her jeans are paper pieced using denim paper. The tough part was coloring and fussy cutting the individual flowers at the bottom of her bell bottoms but I think it was totally worth it.

Here is a side view of the Spring card fold. I got the instructions from Splitcoaststampers HERE but added a larger mat at the bottom which I covered with grass printed paper and a scattering of Prima flowers.

Finally the sentiment is a Blue Moon charm. Can you feel the love?
