Happy Belated Birthday, Teri!

When we Minions party, we party HEARTY! Although it's no excuse, a few of use were still reeling from Creepy Glo's birthday and we totally missed our fabulously talented sister Minion Teri's big day on Monday. So sorry hon, but I'm sure you didn't miss the Birthday song. LOL Anyway, here's your card, as late as it may be.

I've used Teri's fab image, Skeletal Candle Holder from Teri's Delicious Doodles Store (BTW, they aren't ALL creepy for you of faint heart) and printed it out 3 times and decoupaged it. No need to color, the fab shading is all there, however I did use some Copics and stickles on the flame. The gorgeous DP is from Our own Susan's Crafty Chaos Designs. The collection is Jezebel's Remains Paper Set (How could I resist? LOL)

Here's the dimension shot. I actually cut the frame out of adhesive fun foam using my new Nesties Fleur De Lis Squares. The flowers and gems are Recollections. Hope your day was just FAB, hon, and please, please, forgive. xx

Macabre Monday Loathesome Lotharios

Oh, the Minions were in full force as the topic of this week's challenge at HDH is Loathsome Lotharios. You'd think we'd all been burned at some point or another, eh? So pull out your rakes, libertines, scoundrels or seducers and come play along. I'm sure you've got some ideas. I used the fabulous Sparkling Cyanide from Delicious Doodles. He actually is colored with Copics ( grayish purples and of course some chartruese for the little drinky) although he's just gorgeous without inky enhancement as well. You know the type. He'll ply you with alcohol and have his way with you. I'm not sure whether you should be more worried about what's in the drink or that seriously sharp ice pick (okay, I guess it's a hypodermic needle but for my purposes, it's an ice pick). I doubt that's an Appletini in that bottle, that I stickled a bit. And a skully brad was added in case you weren't worried enough. Cool paper from Cloud 9 (been dying to use it). Webby flower from Recollections and the sentiment done with my Dymo. Now go check out the rest of the Minions fab creations. We had a ball with this one. Bet you will too!

Macabre Monday Alone in the Dark Challenge

This week at Haunted Design House our challenge is sponsored by our very own Temptress of Terror, Teri of Delicious Doodles. Our mission was to create a card with a black or eerily dark background. Teri has so many fabulous dark and sinister images (she has beautiful and cute ones too, but...) that I had a very hard time choosing, but finally decided to make an easel card using the Grim Reaper.

The card base and computer generated sentiment were cut with my Nesties Mega Curved Rectangles. The fab DP is from Basic Grey.

I printed him 4 times and cut the images so I could decoupage the layers, used a tombstone I cut and embossed with my Cuttlebug, and a moon from my Cricut October 31st cartridge. It's particularly fun to decoupage her sketchy images because they often need no coloring at all. WooHoo! I have to tell you a funny story about this card and you tell me if you can relate. I'll admit I make a ton of cards and often show them to DH so he doesn't pay a whole lot of attention but... In this case I wasn't sure of a sentiment so I brought it down almost completely finished to ask his advice. He glanced up and said, "Oh that's nice, is it an Easter card?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? Take another look! He laughed and suggested a sentiment that I'd love to tell you, but I'd hate to offend. Anyway, the Minions have outdone themselves this week and with the fab prize from Delicious Doodles I'm sure you'll want to play along, so hop on over To Haunted Design House and be inspired. I'm also entering this in the Delicious Doodles Challenge for this week which is Anything Goes. WooHoo! You should really check this out, because Teri has a wide variety of images and a fab Design Team.

Macabre Monday Dastardy Delicious Digis

It's our favorite month at Haunted Design House and our Macabre Monday challenge this week is Dastardly Delicious Digis sponsored by Delicious Doodles. I've already told you how I'm IN LOVE with the fabulous Loves Faded Memory Digi Stamp that has inspired me in previous challenges so here it is in all it's glory. I've printed it 4 times and fussy cut the image over and over to create the dimension I crave. (No hon, that skull is mine, notice all the teeth?) It's so beautifully rendered that the only color I added was to the beautiful rose ( with Copics).
I hadn't the foresight to add a computer sentiment so I managed to cut "Forever" with the Sweethearts cartridge on my Cricut. Sooooo delicate... Matted with the MS Gothic Arch Punch Around the Page. The DP is DCWV La Crema stack with gorgeous flocking. Then laced with ribbon and an added charm. (Reminds me of some lingerie) Romantic...no?

Please visit Haunted Design House for more visual stimulation and check out Delicious Doodles for even more inspiration ( they're not ALL Macabre). There's also a fabulous gargoyle that's TOO DIE FOR! (It was a toss up for me, but true love won out.) xx
