TAKE IT EASY WITH TWINKLE TOES

i spent the day yesterday cleaning our master bedroom.
lulu sheds a lot, a lot and she is a full time dog. you have to brush her, and brush her and more brushing and she still sheds like crazy. she sleeps with us and spent most of the day in our bedroom. i do not have to say is like we breath, eat and wear lulu's fur.  i mean, when i have to clean i have to move everything and clean everything with water and a cleanser, clean walls, curtains, ceiling fan, closets and every single thing we have in the room. when the swiffer can't do it any longer, water and soap is indispensable, lol.
you know i can't craft if my house is not clean so it wasn't it was dirty-dirty but it needed immediate attention.
--after popping in a series of pain killers, i was able to finish--
*_*
today is laundry day but in between some loads, i made these two cards.

take it easy with twinkle toes
A2 size
(4.25 by 5.5)
the elephant is the one from twinkle toes
image#11 of the overlay

the elephant was cut at 2.88 inch tall and 3.69 wide.

the crown and skirt were stickled cotton candy and bling was attached on the crown. the tail was covered with orange fuzzy stuff ( i can't remember the proper name right now :()
i also added diamond stickles to the eyes and inked everything, of course.
the sentiment "take it easy" is from a my pink stamper clear stamp set called
"more punnylicious" from one her releases last year.
you can click HERE if you would like to see the rest of the sentiments.
i added another piece of patterned paper to the inside.
these elephants were very easy and fun to make.

thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend
love you all

TRI-FOLD CARD CHALLENGE AT THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT

i am alive, lol. i was cleaning my scraproom and re-organizing again and lost track of days plus the weather is making me lazy..it always does. but...i am here with another challenge for
this week are tri-fold cards and here is mine.

Hey Babe
5.5 x 11.50
score to make three panels of equal size.
the base for the card was cut diagonally and then used a paper punch for the hearts border.
the sweethearts cricut cartridge was used for the image and cut at 3 inch high.
you can see where i embossed with two different cuttlebug embossing folders: the swiss dots on the birds and the distressed stripes for the hat. i also used a sizzix one called collage for the hat.

the sentiment is from my pink stamper's, love-a-licious, is a  new stamp set, and the cute banner is from the cricut cartridge twinkle toes. i love this banner and i know is in another cart --or a very similar one--but can't remember right now.
below is the set i used from my pink stamper and if you want to see what other stamps she has, you can click HERE, and it will take you to her site.

LOVE-A-LICIOUS

now, please...go and have fun at the cuttlebug spot challenge and enter your tri-fold card. you always have a chance to win some goodies.

i will try this week to be more virtual, hehe

the fourth is Gisella's blog hop and i will have that ready for you too. i know i will have a package of action wobbles as a giveaway.

see you soon if the power is not down.
we are expecting ice in two days,...grr! ;p

love you all!
and stay safe

FROM TWINKLE TOES

On Friday my son asked before he left for school if I could make a Thank You card for one of his friends. His friend wrote the play he is in and he wanted to give her a card.

I guess it wasn't my day but one of those days when every little thing goes wrong when crafting.
I had in mind to make an easel card and we all know how easy they are. This one took me over two hours, grrrr!
I kept messing up, dropping things, forgetting this and that....oh my God....I was in such a nasty mood when I finished it was good nobody was around me, lol.

Anyway...I ended up using Twinkle Toes (one of the carts that my son got me on Black Friday) after trying to find another image on the G with no avail.
It is good that I am lucky and I have this many carts but it does get overwhelming trying to remember which cart has this and that and the G search is not the most friendly.
I used other carts for the words.

Thanks so much
an easel card

I can't believe this card took my patience away.

If I wouldn't have to finish it that day I would have walked away from it, lol

If you notice I wanted embossing and got debossing...the thanks was cut like 5 times until I got the right size, the debossed background was bigger than the layer (had to cut it by hand) and the heaviness of the top kept falling backwards, grr...among many other things....Well, I needed to vent.....thanks for listening :)

Have a great day!
and thanks for stopping by.
