DETAILS....

hello sweet friends. hope each one of you is doing FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

graduation party is getting closer and so are preparations. my husband will be cooking and i will be his assistant along with some other helpers. hehe...that will be some FUN! for a change ;p

anyhow, for de-stressing and taking my mind off things i worked on this card on and off like for two days, lol

Details
4.25 x 5.5"
i used a few cartridges and welded a few images using my gypsy.

the card base is from "just because cards" page #63 image #40. the banner is from "christmas" image #29 and the mat for the sentiment is from is from "cindy loo" and is image #10 manipulated for my purposes--hehe. the font for the word "details" is from "graphically speaking" image #25 using the type feature and welding the letters.
i had to cut things a few times and tweak them here and there but i am happy with the results.
the butterfly is a chipboard accent from k&co.
those little epoxy flowers i believe they are from some dollar bin or maybe from sticko brand, they are really cute.  -----------TIP: when i use cheap products i do not rely on their adhesive so i always use my adhesives and in this case i used "zip dry".

the patterned paper is from dcwv: the cafe mediterranean matstack.
absolutely stunning colors.

a bit of messing up trying to add the small pieces to the negative of the word--  :(

i was very pleased to find the butterfly. the colors matched so very nice!
i love when you find a perfect match in different brands.

a side view.

and the inside sentiment compliments the one on the front very well
"DETAILS"
LIFE IS TOO SHORT...LAUGH WHEN YOU CAN!
also................. it is my best piece of advice to you.
the sentiment is from one of "my pink stamper" clear stamps set called:
"everyday sentiments".

i sure hope you enjoy it and it serves as some kind of inspiration.

love you all!

PUSH THE BUTTONS WITH THE CUTTLEBUG SPOT WEEKLY CHALLENGE

yes, i am super late with my project for TheCuttlebug Spot. so late i told nilda she did not have to add it if she did not want to.
the weekly challenge is to use buttons on your project.
i made a big tag.

Enjoy
5.5" tall
(i need to trim that upper left corner a bit--it is bugging me).
anyway, this tag started being a card, of course, lol. but by the time i finished it did not look like a card but a tag. so, i cut the other half and made it into what i guess it was supposed to be...a tag.
the base is from "just because cards", image#34
using shift and adjusting the width with the gypsy to a 3.25.

i cut that shape three different sizes as you can see to add the layers to the tag.. the embossing was done with a sizzix folder called "snowballs" using my cuttlebug. i also used the "divine swirls" cuttlebug folder for the clouds from "paper dolls for everyday", image#15 using the accesories3 creative feature. the butterfly it is from the same cart-- image#3 using shift and accesories3.

here is the so very cute snail and the HUGE BUTTON from my vintage buttons box. the snail is from "creative a critter", image#44 flipped to the right.
as you can see i finally got me some more hemp. i love using that stuff. now i have to get some ms twine.
i tried using the zip dry glue to adhere the button but it did not work at all so i used my trusty glue gun.

the stamp is from a my pink stampers set called "everyday life" you can see more of the sentiments and of her stamps if you click HERE.

well, i hope you join us at the cuttlebug spot weekly challenge and get those nice buttons out and play along. or just stop to see what my very creative team mates worked their butt-ons up to, hehe.

love you all!

TRAVEL MINI CARDS SET

hello to all

i have to tell you guys why i am not around much anymore. since i added the gym to my almost daily routines (and that along takes a lot out of me) i am finding less time to blog. i am fine but i want you all to know it will be like this for a while. sometimes more blogging sometimes less.
i also have been getting the house in order for spring, doing lots of laundry, taking care of personal things and doctors appointments.
talking about doctors appointments---my son will be having his wisdom teeth removed sometime in summer. the surgeon was a young doctor and he was very pleasant. it is always nice feeling comfortable with the doctor. it means a lot.
i am also working on a mini album (mostly on-cricut) and i haven't make a mini in a while :(. i want to put it up for sale on etsy and trying to keep my shop going. the extra tiny income will be very well needed when my son starts college since i guess i will be money-less then, lol. so...i said to myself--agnes, better start trying to get some extra cash and the only way you can do it is trying to sell your handmade stuff --. hehe
let's see how it goes. wish me luck. etsy is getting like ebay---very busy and your listing gets buried among other listings very-very fast. i am trying to stay afloat there.

anyway,
this is something i listed on my shop a few days ago. i made it mostly with kraft cardstock which seems i am in love with for a while now ;p

Travel Mini Card Set
bag 5 inch tall

i love how it came out. this envelope is from just because cards and i added that ticket shaped on the side and it looks so cute. that was done out of necessity to make sure the envelope wouldn't open later on and if it did it was going to be secured.
the paper used is from "me and my big ideas".

below is a collage of pics from the set.
all vintage looking like me but i hope you still like it--hehe
hey, an inspiration is an inspiration, right?
wink-wink

love you all!

MY PINK STAMPER BLOG HOP

hello to each one of you..my dear followers, visitors and new friends.

my name is agnes aka flowerdisco, and this is my blog
"flowerdiscosscraphut"
you might have heard of me before and you might not.
anyhow, welcome to my blog where i share my humble creations with you, and your comments feed my energy, soul and creativity..:)

i am blessed with a son (only child) who has made my husband and i more than proud with all he has achieved in his young life. now i have been accomplishing some things with my hobby and this is why you are here, right?

i am so very honored and thankful to be collaborating with my dear ROBYN aka my pink stamper--as i serve my second term as one of her "my pink stamper design team member", in this awesome year of 2011. i was in her first design team ever in 2010...this term will be for 6 months--six months full of fun and love and laughter,  great friendships among all of us design team members and robyn.
many surprises will be revealed by robyn in this year and hopefully many, many, many more in years to come.

I want to take this moment to CONGRATULATE her--my pink stamper aka robyn ;p,  for all her accomplishments, hard work and friendship--thanks robyn--i am filled with pride and honor as i serve this term with you.

IMPORTANT--- at the bottom of this post you will find the instructions for the sequence to follow and to get my KEYWORD for you to participate in this robyn's challenge. you MUST start at her site--
click --here--
to go to robyn's,
because you must collect keywords along the way to know what the challenge is about to be able to participate.

well, enough of my blah-blah and onto my project for the hop ;p
Wild Cool Cat
4.50"
the card base shape comes from just because cards (cricut cartridge), image #15.
i welded them using my gypsy and also copied the same image and made it into a smaller one for the greeting:
 "cool cat"
which is another set of clear stamps from robyn called "more punnylicious" and again (shame on me), i split them in half---oops! i did it again, lol--to have it the way you see it on my card ;p......... i then embossed it with clear embossing powder and a "tip" here---to get a good embossing you must use a pigment ink pad (or embossing glue pad).
below you see the stamp set used on this card and...

if you click on the photo, it will take you to robyn's site/product section if you wish to purchase, and you also can see where the "cool cat" is, lol and how i used it instead, lol.

you can find the beautiful and awesome patterned paper i used, in my stash--hehe. i do not remember where i got it but i know i paid very little for a whole bunch of different ones. it is textured and thin but i did cut it with my expression at 3 speed and 3 blade, lol--absolutely adorable.
the wild word comes from the cutting up--cricut cartridge.

now, look how cute the inside is
the little cat is from... i do not remember either ,lol---i had it in my stash from etsy :(...... i embellished it a bit---cut some tiny triangles for the ears, a mini strip of cardstock for the collar, a punched out a mini flower from the same patterned paper and of course----bling.
this cat might be a wild cat but is a cool cat indeed--hehe.

hope you like my card--i had a good time making it despite being sick at the time..it really lifted me up :)

here is what you are looking for--------the blog hop sequence in case you get lost but remember you MUST start at Robyn's site----it is important you do that.

-----------------------------------

The day has come for the
"Dia de los Muertos Blog Hop".

November 1st is "Saint's Day" and November 2nd is "Dia de los Muertos" and the blog hop will last both days.

This is what I made for the celebration.
Sugar Skull Wall Hanging

I want to honor all my loved ones who are not here with me, especially my grandparents.
They raised me and I lived with them until it was High School time for me. I then moved with my mom.
I loved my grandparents to death. When I was little I used to tell my grandmother I was going to die with her when her time would come. She was my role model and I adored her. Her name was Maria and they used to call my grandfather Yito but his real name was Liborio. My love for them will never die.

I used Rock Princess (one of the carts I got at ACM for 35$) image #45 cut at  6.5" and the base is from Just Because Cards cut at 10".

I like how it came out in a big size like this and I have it hang it on my kitchen wall already until Nov 1st that I will hang it on my front door then. Did I tell you I love my kitchen....it is all me in and out. It is an old kitchen but I have worked it just they way I wanted it. :)

This is my giveaway for the blog hop and the winner will be picked randomly. You do not have to be a follower but if you do I will appreciate it but I appreciate even more your comments on my work :)

Come back once in a while and leave some love...:)

A"Scrabble Tile" from

I will add Wickedly Mod Pendants shop to my side bar shop for a few weeks in appreciation for donating/sponsoring a giveaway here at my blog. Look on my right side bar, in case you are interested in getting your own. There are so many it will be hard just to settle for one. wink-wink.
I purchased two more tiles with their chains for my SERENADE giveaway. These ones come with the chain too and in a very pretty velvety black pouch. They are awesome. I can't say enough of them.

HAVE A TWEET DAY

Hello friends!

Let me present you to my
Have a Tweet Day card
7 inches high
This card is a fusion of different things :-)
The base is from Just Because Cards and you can find it on page #44.
----------

The birdbath, the leaves, the butterfly, the flowers are from Serenade
----------

The sun and the flourishes are from G-Studio clear stamps.
The bird is from a Fiskars paper punch.
The sentiment is from MPS,  "Have a Tweet Day"
Tweetie Hoo Puns clear stamps set.
---------

The ribbon is from my stash and I can't remember the manufacturer.
It is a sheer ribbon and it has some bling on it. I also used stickles and I inked everything.
---------

I also made the insert to go inside the card from the same cart (JBC) and added an eyelet on the top and inserted a string through the eyelet opening to pull out  the insert with ease. Sorry I forgot to take pics of that.
The envelope was made with a construction paper and lined.
---------
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this card.
