ALL THINGS GROW WITH LOVE

just to have a little fun with the
FLOWERS & FRIENDSHIP.
one of the new releases for next month from the
you can pre-order any of her stamp sets by clicking here.
i decided to use one of the sentiments from the above collection for a halloween card. if you are one of my regular followers, you already know i sometimes like to twist and spin things around a bit.
a small example of it is my project for today.

All things grow with love
4.25" x 5.5"
hehe
---even little monsters grow with love---
he is from mini monsters and you will find him on page #48 and he is image #3 on the overlay.
he is already 3 inches tall---and he is growing a boo boo... i mean a mustache, (wink-wink)

all these pretty papers i believe i got them at acm but i am not 100% sure.
the were already cut in three different sizes.

my mini monster also grows eating bats and ghosts...hehe
i bet you already noticed i did some paper piercing in some areas. the tombs border is from martha stewart. the embossed bottom strip was done with a cuttlebug folder called diamond plate.

i did the inside of the card and look at the awesome bat. how cool is that?

oh...and i stamped the corner of the envelope.

phew!
finally the whole card
BOO!

thanks so much for stopping by.
i really appreciate it- it means a lot to me.

one more thing....
this is a cute gable box and to me it looks perfect as a lunchbox:
i used the LUNCHBOX THOUGHTS and the SPOOK-A-LICIOUS set for the spider.
have a super great week!

MY PINK STAMPER NOVEMBER RELEASES WHOLE PROJECT SNEAK PEEK

sunday
i am at home listening to the word of God on the radio since i do not go to church any longer.
then, i have miss LULU at my knees wanting MORE ATTENTION...if that is possible :D---she is scratching my leg and pushing me so i pick her up and play...oh my! and did i tell you she follows me every where and i mean every where. i move, she moves. i turn around and she is right there with me turning around too. i read somewhere pugs CRAVE human attention.  Lulu has that craving plus more cravings:  food and some expensive jerky treats.
she is a pig PUG indeed, lol---
BUT, i love her so-so-so much.
i also have to do laundry and cleaning today, but i am going to wait on it for a bit. instead, i decided to work on this mini card from the LUNCHBOX THOUGHTS from MY PINK STAMPER NOVEMBER RELEASE. i am telling you this again and is not because i am on her design team but this release is another HUGE one. some of them have so many stamps in one set and,  practically for pennies. did i say pennies? what are pennies?, lol...well, i should say a few bucks worth every penny. and they are so super cute and for all type of occasions.
i made today this pug pig (*&*) today to share with you another sentiment of the LUNCHBOX THOUGHTS clear stamp set and it has its own mini envelope too.

Hugs & Kisses
the piggie is from paper dolls for everyday cut at 2.53" x 2.02" (according to the gypsy). the square where the pig is welded with a small tab are from dear george and basic shapes.
a few more pics of LULU, hehe...i mean the piggie from paper dolls, lol
here is part of the envelope from the wild card cut at 6.6" x 5.28" (real size dial) to fit the mini card.

*******************************

ALSO from LUNCHBOX THOUGHTS -
(my pink stamper clear stamps november new release)

You are the Greatest Kid Ever
2.25" x 4"
tag
i got myself the nate's abcs at joanne's for $30 a while ago but did not have time to use it until today. this is where the goat  came from cut at a tiny 1.46" high and all its layers. too cute!

a few more pictures below
the sentiment you already know is from the LUNCHBOX THOUGHTS set but the stars are from another of my pink stamper collection of stamps called SCHOOL DAYS.
you can find both HERE and the rest of her fabulous collection of stamps and also where to buy them.

hope i am getting your ideas running.
holidays are coming and you need to start adding them to your wish list, lol

more to come as time permits but in the meantime, keep checking
because you never know what she has up her sleeve---wink-wink.

BIG HUGS

hello my friends
i thought i was going to have plenty of time to be around and craft more but sadly it hasn't being the case.
i do not always feel good and when i do i have been trying to play catch up with the house, garden and life.
it is always something with me, but hey, i am alive!

after doing some errands today and taking Lulu for a well needed walk i started making a card. just a simple card because if i get too picky i wasn't going to finish it today, lol.

Big Hugs
4.25" x 5.5"
the background papers were scraps i have been organizing again, lol.
did i mention i re-organized my room again? ...it is a never ending chore. wink-wink

i made the card front but i was not sure about what i wanted to use to embellish it.

while looking out the window i saw our with hazel tree we just planted last week and thinking i can't wait until i see the flowers next year. it then hit me, lol. since i have the fringe scissors from martha, i decided my embellishment was going to be a witch hazel flower---flowerdisco's style that is, hehe. the strips were going to be thin and messy---just like the witch hazel one. i glue the strips one by one on top of a small round scallop. i trimmed off some ends, inked them -of course, and attached that beautiful chipboard circle i had for a while and had forgotten to open the box. the colors matched so well to the already made card front. don;t you love it? i do---i love it a lot
.
BTW---THIS IS HOW THEY LOOK LIKE

a my pink stamper "Big Hugs" stamp, and voila...what a pretty card in about 30 minutes.
(not counting the deck sweeping-lol)

enjoy!

and i hopefully i finish my son's room this coming week and have it ready for when he comes for thanksgiving break.
i still have some plants to plant before the ground freezes and Lulu needs a bath. that is at least half a day fluffing and fluffing---the never stopping shedding of pugs, lol.
well, love you all!
and even i haven't been around much i have seen a lot of you are doing great and have been doing very well with your blogs. i am so happy for you all.

BITTEN BY THE BUG 2 BLOG HOP

WELCOME
to my little scraphut and welcome to our monthly

our challenge this week is the wheelbarrow from the Walk in my Garden cartridge.
You will find this image on page #107 and it is image #26 on the overlay.

Hello
5"x5"
square card
here is my cute wheelbarrow. i never used this cut and/or feature before. the feature is the "card" one but all you get is the front of the card. at least, that is what i got.  i made a base for it.

i hid the flowers centers with the gypsy hide contour because being so small i was just going to rip the thin paper i used. i added the tiny rhinestones instead. i can still tell they are flowers, :).
i messed up at the end while stamping hello. i decided to use embossing powder to hide it but, i couldn't set the powder right. you see? i already had the transparency attached on the window. it was warping on me...:(
as you can see i was not having a good day, lol
btw, the hello stamp is from my pink stamper and you can purchase the whole set HERE.
it is called spectacular sayings.
i got myself a pair of martha stewart fringe scissors ;Dand i used them today for first time. i made the grass where the little punched birdie stands still. loved using this scissors.

this tree is from hoot n' holler, image #11 on the overlay. i cut this tree at three inches but it comes out a bit taller because of the branches. the pretty butterflies are from another paper punch. i like to have paper punches with small images because they are easier than trying to cut them w/the cricut sometimes and, i can use tiny scraps of paper too. :D
if you take a closer look to the tree trunk you will see i stamped for a more realistic look.

and you can see i curled the leaves too.

this is my base for the front card. it is another 5"x5"piece of white cardstock which i scored at 1/2 inch and glued it to the front.

this is how it looks when opened. the back is the one that bends, not the front.

here is the completed card.
i want  to mention that the transparency used on the window is actually a clear plastic from the dollar stamps package ;p.

hope you like my card...this one is a first for me as i mentioned before.

i have a small giveaway and i will use random.org to choose for me.
you will have three days to claim your prize.
***the small print says you must participate in this BBTB challenge to be able to add your name for my giveaway.

now, it is time to keep hoping and i am listing the entire hop list in case you are a bit lost. you can start wherever you want but you might want to stop at all the blogs. :)

MY PINK STAMPER DESIGN TEAM MONTHLY PROJECT

i told you i would be back today. i have been cleaning the house and working some on the yard before it gets too bad. the weather is supposed to be rainy for the whole week and i won't be able to go out. the house can wait a day or two. it is always so much to do :(
-----
i love being one of robyn's designers and get to play with her stamps and i wish i had more time to work with them. i thought when my son left i was going to have that extra time but sadly, that hasn't been the case. i did have time to make some stops on some blogs and that is a YAY! it shows some progress, lol.

I did have so much fun working on my project for today. we were asked to use the Spook-a-licious stamp set and you know that is one of my favorites right now.

 Have the Scariest Halloween Ever
4.75" x 5.75"
i named him mr.noir!
the most beautiful cat's face ever, is in the autumn celebrations cartridge.

and here is the beautiful sentiment from the spook-a-licious set from my pink stamper, and the spiders are from the same set. i love those spiders, they are awesome looking!

for the sentiment, i bent the stamp a bit on my acrylic block until i had it the way i wanted it.
(psss!....you can click on the pics for a bigger view)

 look at those teeth...GRRRRR!

the card base is from ashlyn's alphabet and is image #40 on the overlay. i cut it twice on double sided pattern paper.

did you noticed i inked the teeth a bit, for a more realistic look.
the rhinestones are giving him purple eyes.
awesome purple eyes, that is! a bit of stickles here and there and done.

when you go to my pink stamper site, you will see you need to use black, green, purple and orange in your project. you will find these colors in the designers projects as well.

now, you can click on anywhere i wrote my pink stamper, spook-a-licious or you can click HERE to go to my pink stamper site and see what the rest of her fab team has to share and to participate in this other awesome challenge.

can't wait to see what you come up with!

now, go ahead and have some fun!

TIME 4 FUN---A BITTEN BY THE BUG CHALLENGE

welcome to another challenge hosted by
Bitten by the Bug 2.
last week i missed it but here i am now--:D.

this is what we were asked to do:
"I asked the designers to use the Time 4 Fun cut from the Cuttin' Up cart. I hope you like what they did!
As always, you are welcome to participate with us. If you don't have the Cuttin' Up cart, please feel free to use another cart with the same phrase or build one yourself. Please submit a new project for the challenge".

 Time 4 Fun
6.18 round card
my son was not the sporty kid but he did loved soccer and played every fall until middle school when he had to choose between soccer and marching band. :P he was very good at it and won a few trophies as a soccer player.
i was remembering when we moved here in 2005, and the first thing we did was look for a soccer team. now, he is in college and no soccer but still with his marching band. btw, he plays the saxophone.
this card is to commemorate his love for the sport at the time.

the card base is from Sports-Mania. these were his school colors, not the last team colors. those were blue and white. i like these colors better, lol.
the Time 4 Fun are from the cuttin' up cart we asked to used for this challenge.

below, you will see a few more takes of the same card.
i would love if you participate in this "Time 4 Fun", Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. you do not have to own a cuttin' up cart. so many carts have fonts and you can make your own "Time 4 Fun" phrase. you will also get to see what my team-mates have created.
Click HERE to take a look.

see you tomorrow with another project but this time a
"My Pink Stamper" one.
we are using one of the newer stamps set:
SPOOK-A-LICIOUS.

SEE U LATER!

MISS YOU

MISS YOU-MISS YOU-MISS YOU

i miss my son so much it is heartbreaking :( and when we were asked to use this image, i thought let me make it to show how i am feeling right now.
my son is doing very well and BU had planned lots of events for their students, especially for their freshmen. this weekend was packed with different activities and i bet you he was having a blast :).
he has also decided to continue marching band, and on sunday he had his first rehearsal/meeting.
as we all know life goes on and i will do my best to keep myself busy. i still have lots to do in the house and that will help me--  :)

anyhow as, i said the
challenge for this week is the winged heart from rock princess. you can find it on page #44 of the handbook. i cut this heart at 2.18 using my gypsy.

Miss You
4.25" x 5.5"
the background is kraft paper textured with the fiskars crimper and inked dirty with black ink.
the spiders and the sentiment are from my pink stamper stamps. the splashes of blood are a dollar stamp. the wings were dry embossed.

the script paper is from martha stewart and it also already had the splashes of blood. you can see some on the heart but on the bottom strip and top left, were stamped on.

the border is from an EK paper punch called binding edge.

     please, come to the

clicking HERE
and have fun with us. you have to link your project there and when you post it on your blog don't forget to mention us. this will help others wanting to participate know where they have to go ;)

i will come back tomorrow with another project. hope you come back!

Love you all

SOMETHING YUMMY FOR YOUR TUMMY

 HELLO FRIENDS
send me a virtual hug so the emptiness from not having my son around does not affect me too much.
we lost power during Irene and encountered closed roads, closed bridges and by the time we got to Boston it was almost time for him to go to a meeting. Our good byes were too short. He started his community services (FYSOP) on Tuesday and he is working with disabled children. he moved a week earlier to participate in this program. we stayed one more day around the city in case we had time to have dinner with him but it was not possible.
in our way home it all hit me, but by the time we got home i was doing better. i had 6 hours to moan, lol.

the winner for the BBTB2 hop is

You added an apple. Love this project.

Congrats "craftymom205".
please, send me an email with your address.

Something Yummy for your Tummy
5.5" x 4.25"
hehe---i am not pregnant---hehe
it is just a card, lol. i used the Wrap it Up cart for this one.
the stork can be find on page #63 on the handbook and is image #43 on the overlay. it was cut at 4 inches.
the sun was hand-drew and the stork has 4 layers plus the patterned paper one.

the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper. It is in the Yummy-licious stamp set. the two asterisks are from Love-a-licious, also from My Pink Stamper (MPS). the foot border is also from My Pink Stamper--LOL--and is from the Sweet Baby clear stamp set.
i am telling you, you can mix and match her stamps and even make your own sentiments with them--wink! they are so versatile!!!!!

the background paper was purposely made to look wrinkle, :)
and i do not know if you can see the thickness of the stork and clouds on this pic. I am loving the thickness you can acquire with a few more cuts adhered together---awesome look!

this is the inside of the card and the sentiment is also from the Sweet Baby clear stamp set from My Pink Stamper.

Hope you like it and and got to see the versatility of these stamps. this set of YUMMY-LICIOUS is meant to be used mostly with food items, baking the most but you can use them for a totally different occasion as i did here with my card
"Something Yummy for your Tummy"
indeed.

----

here is a pic before the departure.
we had to get more bungee cords to pile up more totes on top :-) since the trunk was already full.

love you all!
soon i will be able to visit you too
i love to browse your blogs and see what you are up to.
wohoo!
