MY PINK STAMPER DESIGN TEAM MONTHLY PROJECT

another month flew by and here we are sharing with you another monthly project using the awesome stamps from my pink stamper. i am using "winter treats & sayings" stamps set.

i will now introduce you to
 mr.g
---mr. gingerbread that is---
card is standard a2 size
4.25" x 5.5"
isn't mr. g so handsome and yummy at the same time?---;)

my pink stamper ---aka robyn--- has released some many different stamp sets with some many different themes you really won't need anything else in your stash ;P. this one i used---winter treats & sayings--is full of great sentiments/phrases for winter and/or the christmas holidays ahead of us.

look how beautiful these fonts are too. love them!
"WARM WINTER WISHES AND GINGERBREAD KISSES"
how cool is that?
the base for the sentiment is a piece of chipboard i covered with patterned paper and distressed a bit. two tiny copper brads were added to each side.

i found mr. gingerbread hiding in an older cartridge. i found him in stretch your imagination. i only used the blackout feature at 2.40" to properly fit him on front of the sack of flour look alike, lol. i used joys of the season for that one...it is actually a frame.
the big romantic? eyes are a rub-on from sizzix i had like forever and never used them before. they were so very nice and easy to transfer despite being in my stash for a few years now, :D

so what do you think about mr. g?
you just can't help but to love him at first sight, right? lol ---what about the sentiment?-- i say they were made for each other, hehe

i want to invite you stop at robyn's aka my pink stamper and see the whole post and enjoy the work of my team mates.
this is my pink stamper link and clicking it will take you to her site.
it is highly recommended because i assure you do not want to miss any of it.

now,
i want to thank you for stopping by my blog.
i certainly hope i have inspired you with this my pink stamper monthly design team monthly project:

MISS YOU

MISS YOU-MISS YOU-MISS YOU

i miss my son so much it is heartbreaking :( and when we were asked to use this image, i thought let me make it to show how i am feeling right now.
my son is doing very well and BU had planned lots of events for their students, especially for their freshmen. this weekend was packed with different activities and i bet you he was having a blast :).
he has also decided to continue marching band, and on sunday he had his first rehearsal/meeting.
as we all know life goes on and i will do my best to keep myself busy. i still have lots to do in the house and that will help me--  :)

anyhow as, i said the
challenge for this week is the winged heart from rock princess. you can find it on page #44 of the handbook. i cut this heart at 2.18 using my gypsy.

Miss You
4.25" x 5.5"
the background is kraft paper textured with the fiskars crimper and inked dirty with black ink.
the spiders and the sentiment are from my pink stamper stamps. the splashes of blood are a dollar stamp. the wings were dry embossed.

the script paper is from martha stewart and it also already had the splashes of blood. you can see some on the heart but on the bottom strip and top left, were stamped on.

the border is from an EK paper punch called binding edge.

     please, come to the

clicking HERE
and have fun with us. you have to link your project there and when you post it on your blog don't forget to mention us. this will help others wanting to participate know where they have to go ;)

i will come back tomorrow with another project. hope you come back!

Love you all

B.F.F. BLOG HOP - INSPIRATIONS OF THE HEART

hello my friends and visitors

i am finally getting back to the swing of things and i have been invited to participate in some blog hops. they are the motivation and excuse to come in my craft room and forget about the tsunami in my household right now, lol.
i have to thank Felicia from
for inviting me to participate in her first blog hop celebrating her first 100 followers, Yay!
i know how i felt when i got my first followers too and she is so sweet she wanted to celebrate it with this special hop called:
B.F.F - Inspirations of the heart.

Felicia was asking of us to make a project based of a special friendship.
i am dedicating this my project to a blogger friend who has been with me since the beginning of my blogging adventures and who gave me my first blog award. Since then, we have been emailing each other and we have become cyber friends. we have even share some happy days and some not too happy days. I have learned to appreciate and love our virtual friendship and if we do not hear from each other in a few weeks we are already emailing each other making sure we are ok. this person is who i am choosing as my "cyber BFF" and i do not want to say her name but when she reads this post,  i know she will know i am talking about her.
  ------

now onto my project.

Best Friend Frame
 hehe---just a sneak peak????? Nah...

this frame i purchased at a craft store for a dollar and i already had distress it for another project that never made it.
;-)

most of the one inch squares came from a K&CO designer paper and others from my scrap collection.
i punch them out, inked it and distress them one by one. some were embossed and sanded.
the ribbons were curled using my heat gun. i also added some twine and a button from my vintage collection. all was then attached with my glue gun on the back of the frame.

i know the above pics are almost the same but you can notice the light making a difference on this gorgeous frame and the "best friend" phrase. this phrase is from a sizzix die i own.
the chipboard flower is from my stash.

i hope you like my "paper quilt" distressed frame as much as i do.
a little secret?....this is my second project i made for this hop. the first one was destroyed by my husband when put a shoe box (shoes inside) on top of my project inadvertently. i am so glad because i wasn't feeling the love for the other one. sometimes accidents happen for a good reason. i am glad this time.
thanks for stopping by.

i do have some little things to put together for a lucky hopper.
you do not need to be a follower to be included in this giveaway but when you leave a comment also leave a way to contact you in case random.org chooses you as the winner.
i will close comments on this post on Sunday, July 17 at 12:01 AM EST.

this is your last stop.

i hope you had a great one
below you will find the line up in case you stopped on my blog first.

MPS MAY DESIGN TEAM PROJECT

time goes fast when having fun!
it is time for another MPS design team project
this coming month is Father's Day and the team has some awesome projects
to get your creativity floating...wink :)...
using some of my pink stamper latest releases.
I am using the "spectacular sayings" set for my card.
Dad, you're one of a kind!
4.25" x 5.5"

i used "pack your bags" cricut cartridge for the family. this image was cut at 4.25 using all its layers.

DAD, is from don juan and "you're one of a kind" from "spectacular sayings", one of my pink stamper's latest releases.

i stamped the eyes, noses and eyebrows with a stamp from my stash. i colored in the cheeks with chalk.

the sun was also stamped.

i think this one turned out so cute and i bet my team mates projects are even better. this is a very talented group my pink stamper has in her design team. so hurry if you haven't been there yet, for tons of inspiration.

love you all!

Daily Life: my son made it to the top 20 of his class with high honors all through his school life. he was elected student of the year and he received various awards. saturday was his prom night and his grad will be the 9th. we are so happy for him and i wanted to tell the world about it. i also would like you to join me in wishing him the best in all his future endeavors. it is a tough journey but with God blessings on his side, he can do it.
my husband diabetes still high: almost 300 but he did go to our family doctor and all his diabetes meds were increased. he needs to go back in three weeks and then in july he will go to an endocrinologist.
i am doing "ok" and keep going--- :)
i also want to take the time to thank God for keeping him safe and praise him in all his glory. Amen!

TRAVEL MINI CARDS SET

hello to all

i have to tell you guys why i am not around much anymore. since i added the gym to my almost daily routines (and that along takes a lot out of me) i am finding less time to blog. i am fine but i want you all to know it will be like this for a while. sometimes more blogging sometimes less.
i also have been getting the house in order for spring, doing lots of laundry, taking care of personal things and doctors appointments.
talking about doctors appointments---my son will be having his wisdom teeth removed sometime in summer. the surgeon was a young doctor and he was very pleasant. it is always nice feeling comfortable with the doctor. it means a lot.
i am also working on a mini album (mostly on-cricut) and i haven't make a mini in a while :(. i want to put it up for sale on etsy and trying to keep my shop going. the extra tiny income will be very well needed when my son starts college since i guess i will be money-less then, lol. so...i said to myself--agnes, better start trying to get some extra cash and the only way you can do it is trying to sell your handmade stuff --. hehe
let's see how it goes. wish me luck. etsy is getting like ebay---very busy and your listing gets buried among other listings very-very fast. i am trying to stay afloat there.

anyway,
this is something i listed on my shop a few days ago. i made it mostly with kraft cardstock which seems i am in love with for a while now ;p

Travel Mini Card Set
bag 5 inch tall

i love how it came out. this envelope is from just because cards and i added that ticket shaped on the side and it looks so cute. that was done out of necessity to make sure the envelope wouldn't open later on and if it did it was going to be secured.
the paper used is from "me and my big ideas".

below is a collage of pics from the set.
all vintage looking like me but i hope you still like it--hehe
hey, an inspiration is an inspiration, right?
wink-wink

love you all!

MINI CANVAS

i had in my stash a few mini canvas i had purchased a while ago. i took my acrylic paints out of the drawer, my modge podge, some papers and a new set of my pink stamper clear stamp. with the clear stamp sentiments in mind i started playing with my supplies.

Vroom Vroom
on a mini canvas
i can't remember where the images are from, sorry. i wasn't paying too much attention.

the heart is from some wooden pieces i received from a giveaway.

the brads were plain office brads i sanded and with my stazon brown ink distressed them.

Vroom Vroom is from one of the new releases from my pink stamper called

Boy Crazy

kind of crazy but had fun with it. it was very therapeutic, :)

i attached some twine to the back to be hung on the wall of my little nephew's room.

----

tomorrow night we are having our monthly my pink stamper blog hop called
my pinkalicious blog hop

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday

thanks for stopping by even i have not been around much.

BINGO

i want to take a moment here and thank you all for the prayers and best wishes. it touches my heart and i appreciate you taking the time to say it. i go to the doctors today and see what kind of magic wand she has ;p...i will update as soon as possible, in the meantime i am still dealing with the situation.
-------

we had to get inspired by a children's game this week at
and i remember playing Bingo with my family since i was a very young girl. we also played lots of dominoes. these games bring back lots of nice childhood memories.

and...since you all know i am in love with the inch bag from tags, bags, boxes and more--cricut cartridge--i decided to use it again.
this be inch bag is a very versatile cut and you can weld to it or re-size it any way you want.
below is my project for the challenge.
Bingo
5 inch bag
(this was the second one i made since i wasn't pleased with the other one--;p)
the "adore" bingo cards are from jenni bowlin--i had one of these for a while-while now, and since i wanted to use more than one for this project, i scanned it and printed a bunch of them :P--the markers are the little hearts, cute huh?--you also can see the dry embossing. i used a sizzix folder which i always put through my cuttlebug with no problems.
i have used two different kind of twine and a crinkle ribbon from kristen and a bit of ink here and there.

added a heart charm, some bling and done...simple right? well not that simple since i am so very picky, lol.

this is it for today.

hope you like it and i will be back as soon as possible.

love you all--!!
and welcome to my new followers, yay--!!
a big hug to all of you--!!

SWEET THOUGHTS OF YOU

i am not feeling well. i haven't been feeling good since last thursday. i have a bad case of gerd and indigestion and bloating, and every time i eat it i feel nauseated. if i do not feel good by monday i think i will be calling my doctor.

last night started snowing and snowed all night. i love looking outside at night time when snows. it looks like the sky illuminated itself with a yellow warming and peaceful glow. here are some pictures from today. i wish i could have captured the glow from last night.

january 12, 2011

love how it looks after a good snow--it is like winter wonderland until the plow truck comes by, lol.
did you notice the stunning sky...awww!!!

-----------

i worked on this card today,

--Sweet Thoughts of You--
4.25 x 4
pretty, uh?
the sentiment is from one of the first mps clear stamp sets called
"simply sweet occasions".
it seems i keep going back to that one--so versatile :)

this is the package and if you click on the pic it will take you to the mps site so you can see the variety of stamps she has out and more coming out soon too, yay!!!

these are old papers i have in my stash from autumn leaves, the tag i made myself with the cricut and so is the clock too and of course...robyn's "sweet occasion stamp set"hmmm---i think i mentioned the stamps before--hehe.

a bit of distressing and some more stamping--oh, and i sew on it too, hehe.
so very cool--!!
the ribbon was given to me by kristen --one of the designers at the cricut circle.  she makes them herself too.

here you can see how i used two ink colors to create a shadow on the sentiment. i first used brown ink and then stamped it again--a tiny bit off--with black ink, and this is the result.

hope you like it--!!

-----------

we will be having our first mps blog hop this friday at 8PM central time 9PM eastern time. it is going to be lots of fun and i know you would like to participate. mark your calendars for this friday, january 14--.

see you later,

ADORABLE

ooops--i forgot to send this to nildas at the cuttlebug spot--so you will not find it there :(
i also had it scheduled and did not upload--another boo for google--grrr!!
i also have to correct the mps blog hops won't be every friday but monthly on a friday
this friday will be our first hop--more info to come ;p

-----

today is time for embossing with
we are supposed to be inspired by a song and as bad as it seems i really did not get the inspiration but i know of a lot of love songs and since heart day is very near, this is what i made for you.

but before i go into that, i want to apologize for the lack of consistency with my blog background as i try to find a suitable clean looking background without loosing my style, lol.
i liked the green one i had prior to this one,  but it was hard on my eyes and i can't even imagine if you had to struggle too to read it, lol...so very sorry. i still working on it.
last night i made a new blog button you will find on the left column if you wish to grab the new one. little by little i will find something that suits my mood and easy for you to read and enjoy.

now onto to my
Adorable Card
4" square
the card base is black and the white has been embossed with the hearts cuttlebug folder.

another mess-up here with the black embossing powder
(i will change that but i will do it later--i had to upload for the cuttlebug spot)
the stamp is from my mps winter punnies clear stamp set and i cut one of the stamps in half to use the Adorable word only (i know--it was a really tough decision, lol)

on the hearts i used more embossing powder in silver and gold and
that texture comes from this wood mounted stamp i got at hobby lobby called distressed background--hehe, what an original name that is ;p
used versamark for the stamping.
and of course you already know this is the inside. i am liking stamping the inside with a border or an image.
do not forget you can participate in nilda's challenge. nilda has some prizes for the chosen winner.
you can click here to go to

i almost forgot to tell you about my crinkle ribbon.;p
i used organza and my heat gun--hehe--pretty easy. i bought the ribbon in white in case i need to ink it to change the color. nice tip!! ;p
thank you agnes...now i can make my own, lol.

take care and i love you all.
