Hauneted Design House 100th Challenge Blog Hop featuring Varying Visages of Vincent

We're here at Haunted Design House, celebrating our 100th challenge with an homage to the Master of Macabre, Vincent Price, who would have been 100 this year. Our Masterful Mistress has conjured up some fabulous Blog Candy-Corn with many ways to win, so be sure to pop over to Haunted Design House for the deets. If you are already following the blog hop, you should have arrived from the fabulous Sultana of the Sinister, Lynx's Blog. And BTW, there are only 6 stops on this blog hop (besides HDH) so there's no excuse not to hop along.

My project is a coffin box. On the front is a picture of Vincent's final Life Mask (yeah, I know he looks dead, that's why I used it) done during the production of Dead Heat found HERE at The Haunted Studio. The logo is newly designed by Pixascope, who worked alongside the Vincent Price Estate to launch the media celebration for Vincent's 100 year legacy. The fancy shtuff on top of the coffin was cut with my Cricut, using the Happy Hauntings cartridge. Actually, he was creamated, his ashes scattered at sea, but had he chosen this alternative, you'da bet he would have been buried in STYLE, don'tcha think?!

The fabulous portrait inside was done by Chainsaw-Zombie found HERE on Deviant Art. I've added roses by Recollections. The inside of the lid features a most fitting quote by Mr. Price, himself. Sooo true and I'm sure he'd be pleased! Now be on your way to our Devious Digital Demoness, Susan's Blog and prepare to be amazed. And don't forget to leave a comment at each of the Minion's Blogs for a chance for Barb's Blog Candy Extraordinaire and play along with this special Macabre Monday Challenge for even MORE chances to win!

Wanna Know a Secret? and BBTB2 Blog Hop Winner

I woke up in sort of a lovey dovey mood this morning and wanted to make a card "just because". I've got plenty of DT stuff to get done, but I just wasn't sure I could get going on that until I did a little "quickie". It just so happened I'd printed out the Sexy Ladies #1 cut outs sheet from Peggy Loves Vintage recently, and this little flirtatious cutie caught my eye. Perfect! I used the fun retro dot DP from Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line and cut a window straight through the mat layers with my Nestie hearts. I then used the scalloped hearts on the dotty mat to make a frame. I printed the sentiment on a smaller heart and added a gorgeous silk bow.

I decided to fussy cut her out so I could use the off cuts of my hearts behind her. HeeHee, she's a cheeky one! I had a ball making this for my Sweetie. Hope he loves it! Peggy's images couldn't be cuter, so I hope you'll take a look at the huge variety of vintage images Peggy has on her store. There really is something for any occasion, and for no occasion at all. LOL

And now the moment you've all been waiting for (for 2 whole days because I've been a terrible SLUG!)...The Winner of the $40.00 Gift Certificate to CUSTOM CROPS is.........NO. 32!!!!!

Tiddly Inks Meets The Shabby Tea Room

It's Fabulous Inky Friday at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog where we feature amazing creations not only by the DT, but from our superbly talented participants as well. Our prize winner from the previous week is also announced, so don't miss out. Although this is not my team's week to necessarily follow our challenge, I was poking around some fave challenge blogs and came across the fab inspiration photo (see below) and yellow pink and green color challenge at The Shabby Tea Room, with the challenge title of Relax and Enjoy. I immediately thought of the Tiddly image "Take Me Away" and chose to follow the Tags or Tickets Challenge at Tiddly Inks as well.

Okay, it's a pretty literal interpretation of The Shabby Tea Room challenge, but I couldn't help myself.

And Relax and Enjoy, isn't that what soaking in the tub is all about? Take Me Away is colored with Copics and cut and matted with Nesties. I've added acrylic adhesive bubbles and used Glossy Accents in between.

The gorgeous papers are Graphic 45's From Baby to Bride collection. I've added shabby touches like the heart shaped doily, crinkle seam binding from the Prairie Bird Boutique(thanks Steph, lovin' this stuff!) and this lovely rose from Recollections. The tickets are Tim Hotz and couldn't be more perfect. Don't all girls dream and wish to be taken away sometimes?

Read about the journey here, with more to follow as CMWC starts in Warsaw.
Images from the girls up inabit.

Everyone heading over to Warszawa, NA ZRDOWIE!

TOFF Spots and Dots Challenge

This week's challenge at The Octopode Factory Friday Challenges is Spots and Dots. The dotty paper you see was my inspiration and I've used it before with an Octopode image (HERE). I first tried to do my own version of the paper on a tag by inking my craft mat and spraying and wiping, then pouncing with different things and even embossing, but the colors ran together a bit more than I liked, so I just ended up cutting a partial circle and mat with my Spellbinders Grand circles so most of it is covered up. One of these days I'll get the hang of this mixed media stuff, but today is not that day. LOL I got the idea to use Cleo the Clowness, from the Whimsicle Circus set, for this challenge from CuddlyBunny's Blog as she had used Ringo the Ringmaster, which reminded me that dots and the circus go very well together. So, I think, do clowns and umbrellas so I cut the back of an umbrella lantern and stuck it on.

I've added acrylic dots to Cleo's nose and cheeks and a few here and there over the dots on the paper. I curled the ribbon using a technique I've explained HERE on the Custom Crops website. BTW, if you haven't already, you can still comment on my BBTB2 Blog Hop post for a chance to win a $40 gift certificate to Custom Crops. WooHoo! I'll be using Random Org to choose tomorrow (when I get around to it. LOL) so hurry!
