Art In The Streets

If you are in LA - check out LA MOCA's latest feature exhibition, Art In The Streets.

What they say: The exhibition will feature paintings, mixed media sculptures, and interactive installations by 50 of the most dynamic artists and will emphasize Los Angeles's role in the evolution of graffiti and street art, with special sections dedicated to seminal local movements such as cholo graffiti and Dogtown skateboard culture. A comprehensive timeline illustrated with artwork, photos, video, and ephemera will provide a historical context for the work.

The list of exhibiting artists is both large and impressive. Shepard Fairey, JR, Futura and Fab 5 Freddy, amongst photographers Martha Cooper, Terry Richardson, Ed Templeton and Larry Clark. I think nearly everything is covered.
Barry McGee, ESPO and Todd James are also re-creating a lifelike recreation of a street scene.

The exhibition runs through April 7 until August 8th. Don't sleep.

Whilst on the site, do check out their webstore.  They have plenty of great products on there.
